A Poet & a Joker.
Rarely would Leonard Cohen and Spike Milligan 'appear' together, yet today is different. They both explain the benefit of a 'fracture'.
Spike Milligan was one of Britain's most loved comics. His gravestone illustrates his wit, "I told you I was ill". Spike wrote:
There are holes in the sky
Where the rain gets in
But they're ever so small
That's why the rain is thin.
Leonard Cohen appears to have no Christian heritage, he did become a Buddhist though. This poet who also become a singer, had his ups and downs. I believe he wrote:
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.
Isn't it the holes that perforate our skies or the tears in our fabric that permit betterment?
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
The Last Word:
The good Lord uses our vulnerabilities for our well-being and His glory.
