4 Facts of Faith
There was no faith in Eden; there will be no faith in heaven. Faith is the Christian's transport between Eden and heaven.
Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)
Faith is stepping into the unseen without any visible means of support. Peter did this both impressively and impulsively when he responded to Jesus' call to walk upon water during a storm (see Matthew 14:22-33).
Fact One
Eden required obedience to the God Adam could see, talk and walk with. Post Eden obedience is still required, but this is now to an unseen but not unknown God - this is faith.
Fact Two
Faith is the divine gift that removes the rule of fear. Faith and fear are opposites (see also Isaiah 41:13).
Fact Three
What is the current status of faith?
Faith remains how God's grace is accessed (Romans 5:1-2/ Hebrews 11:6) and how we please Him.
Fact Four
What is the future of faith?
The time will come where the ways of this earth will pass away and the former things will be forgotten. The time is coming when all that God will ask of you is your presence alone. This will be an eternal and inexpressible joy for you both.
Heaven is the result of faith - it is focussed future thinking.
Faith sees the unseen.
