The word on The Word
Soul Snack 217/11 ... The word on The Word
The Bible is a book of confrontation - it is not for the lily-livered, the chicken spirited, the weak kneed and the feeble hearted.
The Bible is not a book of peace; it is a book of war. The Bible is God's declaration of independence to mankind who seeks to reshape God in their own image.
The Bible is not a book of compromise, committees, clouded commands and murky guidance. It is abrupt, perspicuous and blunt. It cannot be whitewashed, tempered or bludgeoned into submission.
The Bible is a strong book of hard truths that takes no captives and holds no prisoners. It is not diatribe or doggerel.
The Bible is not to be sneered at, sneezed at, or watered down.
The Bible cannot be emptied; it is never stale and is always fresh. It stirs the heart, lifts the spirit and is daily food for the soul.

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. (Rev 22:18-19)
