A Martyr's Memoirs - A
Soul Snack 94/12 ... A Martyr's Memoirs - A#
I am a disciple of Jesus the Christ.
I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have the Holy Spirit power. The die has been cast; I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made - I'm a disciple of HIs.
I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away or be still.
My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future secure. I'm finished and done with low-living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colourless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living and dwarfed goals.
I no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotions or plaudits.
I don't need to be right, first, top, recognised, praised, regarded or renewed.
I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer and labor by power.
My face is set, my gait fast and my goal is heaven.
# This anonymous declaration was apparently found in the hut of an African pastor who was martyred for his faith.
He who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple. (Lk 14:33)
Today's Soul Snippet:
God will no more force His grace upon you than sin needs to be your grave.
