Jesus backs persistence!
Beware the fading heart and the dulling life of devotion.
Take note when the seasons of service become consigned to yesterday's adventure.
Observe when living for an audience of One morphs into an approving cast of merchants, or a select classroom of scholars.
Put distance between you and sin, but never between you and God.
His presence polishes the soul and challenges faith threatening sin.
The greatest perseverance, the finest spiritual transactions, are conducted upon the knees.
The noblest, most enjoyable and highest point of fellowship/service is to dwell in the Divine presence.
Therefore, “they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will shelter them with His presence." (Revelation 7:15)
Choose to be drawn by the affections of Christ, His deep seated love and His all conquering righteousness.
DON'T FORGET - we have the mind of Christ. His mind will sharpen us, keep us, and teach us true freedom.
Look with deep intention into God's Word. No mere glance, or glimpse, or wish can bear much faith. Haste at His Word is to be avoided.
Whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom and continues in it - not forgetting what they have heard but doing it - they will be blessed in what they do. (James 2:15)
Persistence is costly. It is not how the race begins, but how it ends that echoes through eternity.
