Jesus backs obedience!
Noah was a righteousness man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God. (Genesis 6:9)
I must realize that my obedience even in the smallest detail of life has all the omnipotent power of the grace of God behind it. ~ Oswald Chambers
It's not about who we are, but obedience in where we are put.
The Lord then said to Noah, 'go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. (Genesis 7:1)
Our good Lord chooses our times and places, that we may reach out to Him. To each God assigns a field, where we are to sow, and maybe even reap. But these times and places are as finite as our breath.
We each manage life as best we can, and then the curved balls come swinging at us. Many of these we can't duck, and they hurt. These curved balls land upon our innocent ignorance, for none can predict them. Don't flee.
Through the deluges God leads His righteous ones to freedom, further betterment and then finally rest.
As with Noah, so too us - our good future is first and always seeded in righteousness.
New seasons do not arrive from the strength of our arms, but in the strength of our Lord's.
This is what we can diligently and prayerfully do:
We have not the placing of ourselves, but the filling of our places. ~ Horatius Bonar
Today's Soul Snippet:
'The more a man grows in holiness the more he sees his unholiness, and so his heart saddens.'
