How to get God wrong!
Soul Snack 3/11 ... Pursuing Ignorance - B
Those who pursue ignorance are wasters of God's grace, given across this world.
They:
- pursue burdens with energy and blindly flee blessings,
- promote ritual for faith and look away from the cross,
- seek goods but not God,
- rage at heaven while befriending heaven's enemies,
- sink God in their conscience but seek God in their pain,
- see good, but find it as evil,
- believe with the world and reject the Word,
- search for light in darkness,
- hunger for the flesh and starve the spirit,
- resist and suppress the truth while promoting deceit,
- criticize God and don't care for Him,
- claim to understand life but fail to read the seasons,
- fail to number their days aright.
Such pursuers of ignorance and wasters of grace are judged by a righteousness they refuse and receive a punishment they invite. In their pride, they willfully defend themselves, accepting no truth from Grace's throne. Upon their pride, their forever is sealed, always rejecting, always rebuking and always scared.
O Lord, all I ever want to do is walk in your light. AMEN
From the sky huge hailstones, each weighing about a hundred pounds, fell on people. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible. (Rev 16:21)
