When tomorrow augurs well
King David wrote as much as a warrior in heart as a poet in soul. Two gifts unlikely found in many other men.
He offers a personal Lord throughout his personal songs.
It is good to praise the Lord
and make music to your name, O Most High,
proclaiming your love in the morning
and your faithfulness at night, (Psalm 92:1-2)
'Praise' and 'proclamation' are the daily equipment, the spiritual tools to create a breeze to any reader's heart. This is a vote of confidence for the day ahead, a surety that His love will canopy the believer without tear.
As the shadows of night gather the believer casts an eye across a shoulder and recounts His uninterrupted faithfulness. Safe again.
If you make the Most High your refuge ... you will call upon Me, and I will answer you; I will be with you in trouble. (Psalm 91:9 & 15)
The Last Word:
Sit in thanks, because He has guarded you in all your ways today. Tomorrow augurs well.
