Both persistent and resilient are the bleatings of satan's lies. He just continues to club the mind and dull the senses.
His boiling pot of accusations is always at the correct incline, ready to be poured with scalding abandon across your spirit. Likewise, the sweet drips of desire cascade across your soul. Both are designed to claim your entire person.
To the valued, he bleats you are valueless.
To the faithful, he bleats you are faithless.
And to the loved, he bleats you are unloved.
To the greedy, he congratulates your self-control.
To the wanderer, he congratulates your focus.
And to the lazy, he congratulates your diligence.
BUT
It is only in the presence of Jesus you can receive the light and the truth.
It is only the affections of Heaven that will comfort and not seduce.
It is only the approval of Heaven that will bless and not bleat.
