Divine promises are as love ~ A Parable
Still waiting on God?
There exists an appointed time for every purpose under heaven. There is a right season to wait, to run and to slow. Some Christians like to stay in sync with God, while others, more impatient others - run ahead. To do this is unwise.
Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires. (Song of Songs 8:1)
As you walk down near empty hallways you pass by many closed doors. You don't think much about these doors. Some doors are just false, other doors conceal an empty room, and others have a person behind them. Only some doors have much activity behind them, although you can't see this. It is in the Lord's timing alone that your door, only one door will be opened to you. It is then you will gaze backwards and understand. Do not even attempt to open a door for yourself, to do so carries a cost you will not wish to bear.
Trust our heavenly Father in all your ways, and lean not on your own understanding.
The Last Word:
Do not be hasty with chasing a Divine promise anymore than with awakening love. Divine promises are as 'love' - wait until the time is right.
