The Shaky Isles of doubt...
New Zealand is rather affectionately named The Shaky Isles. Why, no doubt you wonder? With over 14000 earthquakes per annum the eptithet is well deserved.
We too as Christians can suffer spiritual seismic activity. Doubt is raised, thus faith is shaken.
There are mountains and there are valleys. It would be a lie to teach otherwise. A Christian's life is not dead level, we are shaken to and fro.
... All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:16)
At various times, some extended or some much shorter a Christian's faith wanders. This is normal. It is not exceptional. Jesus was tested as we are, He was tested in every way, for He became a common man, subject to ALL our vagaries and frailties. Hold Him, He has traveled your paths already.
Maybe this morsel will stir and not shake you?
The good Lord Himself goes before you and is still with you, He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be discouraged or afraid, the Lord will fulfill His purpose for you. He does not abandon the work of His hands.
Doubt is satan's very shaky playground.
The Last Word:
O Lord, I say to you "You are my God." (Psalm 140:6)
