Floods Never Last

Soul Snack 103/14 ... A flooded world can drown many hopes, multiply the deepest sorrow and drench any future.

You may feel like you are living in an ark as you tread the high-waters of suffering. The season of deluge roars down upon the roof, and the misery inside is even greater than the damp outside.

BUT...

Floods never last. After the flood there is always a new world to enjoy, new delights to feast on, new places to visit, and new adventures to be had.

Floods are never about destruction but reconstruction.

When swamped under fearful, unending rainfalls; or submerged below the blackest of skies with no hint of sunshine, recall Noah - for floods are never an end in themselves.

Floods are a Divine cleansing mechanism for securing a better world.

If the floods don't drown you, they will deliver you.

Thank God for the floods and be strong, for a new life (and rainbow) always arrives to the faithfully patient.

I remain confident of this:
    I will see the goodness of the Lord
    in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
    be strong and take heart
    and wait for the Lord. (Psalm 27:13-14)
