Flight or fight?

SOUL SNACK S6/10 ... Wait or War?

“Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for Him." Is 30:18

Encompassing the globe is a plague of injustice.

Without mercy injustice continues to invade all the corners of this earth. The drip of injustice dampens all our lives. When the drip magnifies to a torrent, injustice can seep to our very marrow.

Liberation is the call of the sufferer. Permanent release and public correction their heart and soul felt desire. Humiliation their daily grind.

God's very DNA is for justice. His deep longings desire to present His grace. God's most positive intentions and actions are again for my well being. He sees my injustice. Injustice that He does not ignore.

My received injustice bellows to me for warlike response. Yet, the God of the cross is even more intimately acquainted with injustice and humiliation. From the cross He calls ‘trust me'! The crown of thorns screams ‘patience'! Pierced hands cry ‘wait on me'! His own insults beckon my humility.

When I respond as Jesus I place myself in a position of favour with Him. (I want that.) Injustice now becomes a call to trust. It is not for me to deliver my justice. My role is a call to WAIT not WAR. COPYRIGHT 06
