Faultfinders and Grumblers
Soul Snack 27/13 ... Faultfinders and Grumblers
There is one for every grain of sand. There is one for every word ever written. The earth is littered with them. There is no life where faultfinders and grumblers are not present.
They have been around since Adam first ate from the Tree of Knowledge; for the Tree of Knowledge teaches two sides to every position - there is the good and evil side. The grumpy are adept at finding the bad side.
Faultfinders and grumblers are the acid in every workplace, the cancer within every healthy relationship and speak death to good-will.
They are bolstered by their own gracelessness and energised by their own pride.
Faultfinders and grumblers are the weeds and thorns of Christian churches worldwide. They are a blight upon unity's landscape.
This is no exaggeration, nor is it hyperbole ... there are those faultfinders and grumblers who are so acerbic in their mind and sharpened with their tongue that they could find fault with heaven.
Jude did not honor such people --- grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage. (Jude 1:16)
Faultfinding and grumbling is the work of evil.
BUT there is an opposite to faultfinders and grumblers, Jesus calls them peacemakers.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. (Matt 5:9)
God does not have children that are faultfinders and grumblers - only peacemakers!
