Flawed BUT Faithful
Think of King David, the apostles Paul and Peter, flawed heroes of Scripture. Not always faithful, but today a witness to faithfulness.
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what they are commended for. (Hebrews 11:1-2)
Fidelity and purity are spiritual siblings, thus holiness can only multiply.
It is in persistent faith that the Christian learns to subdue the flesh.
Faithfulness is the foundation of prayer, and vice-versa.
It is from previous faithfulness that future generations live long & well. (See - Isaiah 38:19, Malachi 2:15 & Jeremiah 35.)
When Mary Magdalene and the other Mary sat opposite the tomb did they see the triumph of the next 2000 years? Did they see anything except that Christ was gone? ~ anon
Faithfulness seeds inter-generational impact. Although the faithful plans to leave a legacy, they will never see all the results.
The Last Word:
As with faithful Daniel and his mates, God can still close lions' mouths and stand beside you in the super-heated furnace. It is your faithfulness that gets you in and His faithfulness that gets you out.
