Do not measure the calamity

Remember Noah? Remember the boy David who would be king?

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. (Psalm 46:1-3)

Noah and King David did not have the Psalms for comfort. We do!

Even if the earth tears apart, mountains collapse and monstrous waters surge - 'no problem' the Psalmist writes.

Disregard the ghosts in the deep shadows or the towering giants with fire flashing from their eyes. No threat will/can prevail.

When you have the Lord at your side He and you are a majority.

Do not measure the size of the calamity for fret will win, and God not trusted.

The Last Word:

The fraud of independence denies eternity is within all men. Yet, it is imprinted upon all souls, in fact - we are all born with the nature to 'look up' and especially in calamity.
