Diagonally parked in a parallel universe
Soul Snack 138/10 ... Unrestrained love
"Sometimes I feel diagonally parked in a parallel universe." Anonymous
I suspect that the walk of life for many of us is the wrestle for understanding.
It is in fact impossible to make sense of life, until I can make sense of love.
A life with love is abundant, but a life without love is fragile.
With love it is easy to go home when someone is waiting, without love why go home at all?
In an extravagant life-giving devotion Jesus demonstrated unrestrained love when two millennia ago He proved I was worth more to Him than He was to Him.
From His hapless cry of abandonment, He voices that which countless people have felt across the ages:
And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?— which means, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? (Mk 15:34)
With the unmistakeable stain of red and the presence of absolute brutality, Jesus' draws the love of Heaven to two metres above a red soaked Judean soil.
We can only make sense of life as we apprehend this unrestrained love that catalyses the death of God so we may live forever.
Life finally makes sense when I give as much of myself to Him as He gave of Himself to me.
