You are my strength and my salvation,

You are the shield to my soul.

You are my going out and my coming in,

You are my promise when I grow old.

You are the breath I take each second and the air I breath each day,

You are my forever companion along this life's dark way

Your name is my canopy and your salvation is my wall,

You love is so precious, for this is why you call.

In your arms I rest and live,

and in your shadow that I hide.

There is neither hope nor light of life,

Until you are safely at my side

In you alone my past is gone,

And my future is secure.

With you alone my Jesus,

I will not want forevermore.
