Challenging the Body, Stirring the Soul

"Prophets are God's emergency men for crisis hours." ~ Leonard Ravenhill (1907 - 1994)

Flying closer to the Lord than to man Leonard Ravenhill still echoes God's mind to both men and women, those who are sufficiently wise to listen.

Ponder, no tarry over this handful of reflections from a modern man and prophet who chose to draw nearer to God.

• When God opens the windows of heaven to bless us the devil will open the doors of hell to blast us.
• God does not want partnership with us, but rather ownership of us.
• My abilities are my handicaps, my talents are my stumbling blocks.
• There are no reduced rates for revolution of the soul.
• No man lives beyond his vision.
• As soon as we cease to bleed we cease to bless.
• Again and again God asks men to do not what they can but what they can’t.
• Prayer is to the believer what capital is to the business man.

Prophets measure their times with God's eyes. And, then teach their report.

... the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation (1 Corinthians 14:3b)
