Matters of the mind & heart
I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of His resurrection and participation in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death, and so somehow to attain the resurrection of the dead. (Philippians 3:10-11)
Evidence proves or disproves assertions.
Christians claim Christ. They belong to Jesus, abiding with Him. The path is secure and difficult.
The evidence of Christian faith is where mind and heart meet:
- repentance
- guard their mouths
- loves in action and not just in words
- must stop feeding sin, pursues righteousness
- attends AND sings at worship
- the Holy Spirit resides within
- lives by faith and not sight/reason
- is preparing for Jesus' return, and
- bears fruit.
Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 3:13)
