Adam's rule's rule!

Soul Snack 9/174 ... The game remains the same!

Walking naked among the avocado trees, under the swooping parrots and beside the mighty Pishon River was all that Adam had ever known.

He ruled Eden as if he owned it. He lived there as if he'd built it. He had only ever known the joy of obedience. He had never heard of shame and never tasted bitterness.

He had only a few terribly simple instructions to follow .. till the soil, name the animals and avoid the tree in middle. In fact there was only one tree he could not enjoy - that's it, just one!

Ignorantly Adam ate, biting into the delicious forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Blissful in his disobedience, unaware that its seducing sweetness would soon become a bitterness that would extend far beyond his mouth. The sweetness of sin is so quickly lost to a bitterness that would only remain.

Heaven had been lost and hell had been gained. The world still reels.

If I saw the terrible results of sin there would never be any tantalising dalliances or wilful disobedience.

The instructions remain the same. Life's directions haven't changed!

There are still two trees to eat from, but only one still gives life.

Eat to live - eat only from the tree that is already in heaven.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear ascrystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb downthe middleof the great street of the city. On each side of the riverstood thetree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding itsfruit everymonth. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing ofthe nations.Rev 22:1-2
