A Better Way Home

A guiding star ensures that God is not hiding from men. He is neither judging men nor saving them - without first a witness to Himself.

Where were the wise men from - Babylon, Arabia or maybe even further east?

Their origins were as unclear as their guidance was clear.

Their home as obscure as their identity. Conjecture can bring no satisfaction, but seek the Lord this small troupe did.

Yet, these nameless and faceless men remain famous. For 2000 years their journey to seek the infant Jesus has been proclaimed and acclaimed.

Non-Jews seeking a Jew, and kings canvassing the ancient near east for an infant king must remain noteworthy. (see also Psalm 72:10Isaiah 60:3)

These men (as with all men) were living a destiny to death until they found Jesus. God had made it clear how they could find Jesus. God wanted Him found by these men. They followed a star.

God is not hiding, He always wants to be found. This search He makes easy.

With all the correct propriety and royal dignity these travellers gave treasures and not trinkets to God now on earth. That is what correct worship commands.

And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.  (Matthew 2:12)

After meeting and giving to Jesus, God will reveal better ways and brighter paths for you to travel as He did to the Magi.

When you meet with Jesus He changes your ways and then your destination. In fact you can't meet with Jesus and worship Him in love and truth without having life's itinerary rewritten.
