6 Powers of Perseverance ~ B
Soul Snack 197/14 ... (This SoulSnack is sequential to 6 Powers of Perseverance - A)
One person falling away from the Lord is far too many; as the grave for the body knows no satisfaction, so too the grave of the soul.
Ease and perseverance are no more house-mates than stamina and weakness.
Tenacity is standing vertical in faith's wars while the legs scream for horizontal.
It is my soul-driven prayer that today's morsel may provide a pier of support for you (or another) to remain vertical.
There is an untapped artesian bore of life-watering power from within God's Word:
4. The Power of Grace. Grace is not to be wasted. It was not cheap to give and not cheap to receive. Create no new religious laws or honor old ones. Hold no judgementalism and subdue any critical spirit. (This prevents too any root of bitterness growing). Stand firm in grace towards others. Resist theological gracelessness and do not retreat or return to legalism; for from this you were rescued. Laws no longer rule, Jesus’ cancelled them. Give grace, multiply it and choose for it. Look for it and then say a hearty 'thanks'. The grace of God will keep you in love.
“The grace of God is more valuable than any earthly treasure.” ~ Rick Joyner
5. The Power of Fear. Learn an ever growing dissatisfaction with sin, especially that which abides. The strong and the weak alike will meet the Lord; each will be called upon to give an account for things done in the flesh. The fear of God can you keep from falling.
The nearer a man draws to God, the more he sees his own sinfulness. ~ James Hannay
6. The Power of the Holy Spirit. Daily be filled with the Spirit of Truth, for He is eternal and can never become emptied. This is to be a continuous activity. He is the giver of the spiritual gifts as He pleases. His gifts are the power tools for perseverance, witness and ministry. God wants you to know and live in the power that raised Jesus from the dead. The Holy Spirit has you sealed as His, for you are now His home. The Holy Spirit will keep you on the paths of righteousness for both yours and His sake.
Persistence carries rewards that lethargy will never see.
The path to paradise is narrow and paved with burning stones and super-heated coals. Very few find this path, but those who do will forever walk the streets of pure gold.
The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass. (Revelation 21:21)
The garment of sackcloth and ashes always precedes the mantle of righteousness.
