5 Dawn Prayers ~ Day 4 - MOURNING
My Father I come to You this dawn with the sun low in my heart and a fog across my soul, yet I do know that all I have received from You is only of Your righteousness. I thankyou for this small energy to rise and Your call upon me to prayer, for it is the castle of my soul. Mourning has already darkened Your sunshine and rest was not rest. I kneel frail, but I know You already know. I seek You now as always, for in You alone does wailing turn into dancing, sackcloth is replaced with joy and a saddened heart is splashed in song. Thankyou! AMEN
What could be sweeter beloved brothers than this voice of the Lord, who is inviting us? See, in His loving kindness the Lord points out to us the path of life. ~ St Benedict
You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy (Psalms 30:11)
