Resting well on the apostle Paul
Today's offering records some of my flaws. I tap away from no strong point of success. I hold no lantern save His Word. But, the Apostle Paul can do otherwise for he had long spent time with our Lord and master.
In Paul's New Testament letter to the believers of Colossae he advises:
- PUT ON LOVE (3:14) ... place over all things love, especially across the difficult people
- LET THE PEACE OF CHRIST RULE IN YOUR HEARTS (3:15) ... be a peace-maker not a warrior
- LET THE WORD OF GOD DWELL IN YOU RICHLY (3:16) ... it is through the abundance of The Word within that will form you
- WHATEVER YOU DO, DO IN THE NAME OF THE LORD (3:17) ... pursue no glory, our work and words are only for His credit.
These teachings are the stripping away of unhelpful comfortable habits we have long held, and justified in the mind.
The Last Word:
To be much like Christ, be much with Christ. ~ anon
