4 Purple Verses of Comfort to Crown the Soul

There are 31,102 verses in the Bible, some are quite well known, by Christian and non-Christian alike. Psalm 23 and the Lord's prayer are a tiny sample. These are two 'purple' passages.

Purple has long been attended with royalty and grandeur. Purple is well associated with dignity. it is the color for Bishops and holds honor for those vested in it. The Bible too has its pages splashed in 'purple'. Countless unknown verses also carry the quality of 'purple'.

Psalm 62:5-8 are not often quoted, yet 'purple' for those who would stop and be still with them.

Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
    my hope comes from Him.
Truly He is my rock and my salvation;
    He is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor depend on God;
    He is my mighty rock, my refuge.
Trust in Him at all times, you people;
    pour out your hearts to Him,
    for God is our refuge.

The Last Word:

In the search for comfort, permit God to intervene, but the first step is 'stop', the second is - be still. God will look after your 'to-do' list.

Be still and know that I am God. ~ Psalm 46:10a
