God's gift to travel lightly
They travel lightly whom God's grace carries. ~ Thomas a Kempis
Satan is adept at sending fires, lions or concealing spiritual land mines.
Destructive forces deluge or explode upon us, at other times within us. They are wild, sent to weaken our Christian resolve, thus our faith is torched.
So travel lightly, His grace is all sufficient:
1) This earth is NOT all there is. Nothing of this world (not anything at all, anywhere or anytime) is worth losing Jesus and miss sharing in heaven with Him forever.
Planet earth contains no enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. (Hebrews 13:14)
2) There is only one pass at life.
People are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment. (Hebrews 9:27)
3) Christian living consists of entering and then remaining with endurance in the good fight.
But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called. (1 Timothy 6:11-12a)
I am utterly convinced that Christ's grace remains THAT refuge to deliver each believer every day, until they meet Him or Him them.
... the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. (Mark 13:13)
