3 Presidents & 2 Prime Ministers Agree
In an unusual coalescing across oceans, nations and time's corridors the Bible has united strong minded leaders.
There are few peers to the accomplishments of these statesmen. To listen to them is to hear from a sample of mankind's wisest in their days.
Abraham Lincoln (16th U.S. president, 1861-1865):
I have only to say that the Bible is the best gift God gave to man; like the law of gravity the Bible will never become redundant.
Ulysses S. Grant (18th U.S president, 1869-1877):
Hold fast to the Bible as the anchor of your liberties. Write its precepts in your hearts and practise them in your lives. To the influence of this Book we are indebted for the progress made, and so to this we, must look as our guide to the future.
Woodrow Wilson (28th U.S. president, 1913-1921):
A man has deprived himself of the best there is in the world, who has deprived himself of this knowledge of the Bible. When you read the Bible you will know that it is the word of God, because you will have found it the key to your own heart, your own happiness and your own duty.
William Gladstone (served four terms as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom between 1868 & 1894):
There is but one truth of the hour; how to bring the truth of God's Word into vital contact with the mind and hearts of all classes of people.
Robert Menzies (served two terms as the Prime Minister of Australia between 1939 & 1966) echoed the words of C.H. Nash:
In this book is all I know of Jesus Christ and all I need to know of what God has in store for me.
Peril only exists for those who neglect God's Word, whether they be man or nation.
The greatest danger any man faces is ignorance to the Holy Bible's content, for its eternal words point to He alone who offers eternal life.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16)
