3 Crosses + 1 Hill
Soul Snack 73/14 ... Three crosses on one hill equals Easter.
Easter is the time of life reckoning. It is the presentation of crucifixion, the confrontation of torment and the challenge to self-dying.
Easter reminds me of my debt to the only innocent man who trod a nail sealed path.
Who is Jesus that He is to be ignored and daily blasphemed by my very own sins?
Who is Jesus that His spilt blood can be diluted by my spiritual lethargy?
Who is Jesus that His torment is lost upon my indulgence?
Who is Jesus that He is debtor to my account of prosperity and I am His creditor?
Who will reckon that a crucified life is the model of Jesus, the call of the cross and the indelible claim of Calvary?
Who will bend the knee upon that red-stained hillside and pray - Your will be done not mine?
Who will reckon his life lost to Jesus, submitting the desires of his flesh to claims of the Crucified One?
Very truly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. (John 12:24)
Too many are satisfied with the status quo and never press on to become hundredfold Christians. ~ A.W. Tozer
BUT ...
When men kneel and weep at the foot of the Cross, theirs' is a productive life set free.
Today's Easter Soul Snippet:
Jesus exchanged His life for mine so I would exchange mine for His.
