The Clarity of God
God has not changed. He can't.
Eons before even a cough bounced off an eardrum God spoke into silence and created this world; to this very day He is still heard in silence.
Silence removes the clamor of the world and that attention demanding noise.
iPods, iPads, iPhones - 'iKnow' these all conspire against God.
God both speaks in silence and into silence.
It is in silence that the clarity of God grows and He is known.
The joy of silence assists each disciple to concentrate on God’s real and active presence in their life, to feel His grace and witness His interventions. It is an earthly foretaste of heaven to gain such knowledge, for this then can only move the disciple to humble thanks and hearty praise.
Silence can speak of comfort as loudly as words when in the presence of a friend.
Then they (friends) sat on the ground with Job for seven days and seven nights. No one said a word to him, because they saw how great his suffering was. (Job 2:13)
It is upon the seat of silence that a disciple becomes comfortable in God's presence, as both the disciple and The Father can examine each other’s heart.
