3 Ways to Keep the Faith
November 3rd 1992 saw Jon Bon Jovi release his chart shaking 'Keep the Faith'. He sung that keeping the faith is 'living though the rain'.
Satan is adept at sending flooding downpours or concealing spiritual land mines.
Destructive forces deluge or explode upon us and at times within us. These are storms and incendiary devices so planted as to weaken our Christian resolve and thus torch our faith.
BUT PLEASE NOTE:
1) Remember this earth is NOT all there is. Nothing of this world (not anything at all, anywhere or anytime) is worth losing Jesus for and not sharing in heaven with Him forever.
Here on earth we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. (Hebrews 13:14)
2) Life is not a drag race. There is only one pass at life. There are no more races later on life's program, for life's program is but this one race.
People are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment. (Hebrews 9:27)
3) Christian living consists of entering and then remaining with endurance in the good fight. It is the KEEPING OF THE FAITH.
But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called. (1 Timothy 6:11-12a)
They travel lightly whom God's grace carries. ~ Thomas a Kempis
This truth continues that Christ's grace remains sufficient to deliver each believer every day, until they meet Him or Him them.
... the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. (Mark 13:13)
His grace is stronger than any life-flood or explosion is destructive. It is then you may grasp tightly the saving faith to which you were called and have accepted.
