Slaying the Part-Time Prince
The air is an elevated combat position of significant and superior tactical advantage.
Satan is the prince of the air (Ephesians 2:1). From the air he and his demons roam the earth with clear vision to the vulnerability and weakness of men.
This enemy has established himself well, he is also the prince of:
- doubt
- deceit
- division
- darkness
- destruction and finally
- death.
This homeless author of evil scours mankind seeking those he can defeat and then devour. Death only fills the well of satan's heart. It is through his causing doubt, deceit and division that men are plunged into his soul-destroying darkness. Death then finally arrives to fill satan's belly, but the grave is never satisfied.
Two simple choices await to steal his advantages, to defeat this prince with no throne to inherit:
- submit to God, resist satan and he will flee (James 4:7)
- when I die to sin, I don't repeat it and satan then loses his footholds in my life. (Ephesians 4:27)
Satan is only a prince for a short time, he was/is and never will be a king.
And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulphur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Revelation 20:10)
Satan too is just passing through earth. The devil's end is the exact opposite of his beginning. His evil choices in heaven resulted in a temporary expulsion to earth, but guaranteed him hell forever.
