Of Guilt & Relationship 101
#God is above all relational within Himself and invites us into that same relationship, and not as a whimpering poorer person not quite of the family, but as an equal - a son or daughter.
Relationship 101 would suggest that guilt has little place as motivation in any human relationship of love, let alone a relationship with the Creator - He whose very fabric is love.
Guilt pushes us to try harder, doubt our relationship and feel insecure of His affection. We cast our eyes away from His, distrusting Him. Guilt holds little power for real change - if any, only surface change. Real change comes from love. Unplug guilt.
Guilt is often a manipulative tool from those in power that we meet their agenda
So much about the Father's love is learned from the children of disadvantage. Falling in love with those troubled ones finds self being turned upside down. Love changes in a way that a guilt trips never could.
When guilt is absent we can recline into His love; the love of a Father not a judge/punisher, but one who wants to welcome us humbly at His throne.
let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:22)
He has taken the punishment for our sins, so why do we keep peeking in the rear view mirror?
Jesus inspires from a fresh, forgiven and victorious life ahead, not a rotten one behind.
Sin is not to be ignored but condemnation should be.
Guilt does not fade away, it has been removed and Jesus is the removalist.
