False Grace#
A fear washes my soul. Am I becoming disagreeable?
Where there is tolerance so will there be rebellion, for righteousness is never defended by the wicked name of tolerance.
Because Christ has been sacrificed once and for all Christians will never have to make sacrifices. Any grace teaching that alleviates believers from personal responsibility of holiness and accountability is a false doctrine.
Jesus Christ did not pick up His cross so that we don't have to. Jesus Christ picked up His cross to show us how to pick up ours. It is impossible to say you love Jesus but do not obey His word. ~ Jeremiah Johnson
Grace is not permission to indulgence but the divine invitation to self-denial.
Do not be confused - the rebellion of sin in the name of grace is not rebellion in the name of Jesus.
Jesus came to redeem us and repair us, not to tolerate us into further comfort with sin. He came to release shackles not increase bondage.
The seed of sin lays dormant, just waiting to be watered.
Jesus alone removes the poverty of my sin to replace it with the riches of His righteousness. (SEE Zechariah 3:4)
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. (John 14:23-24)
Grace is no more a license to sin than paying your speeding fine is permission to speed again.
To end where I began - YES can be the only truth, for the louder life's lies yell at me the more vigorously my soul is shaken to respond.
